Fall in love with a fairytale city washed by the Neckar River on this excursion to Heidelberg from Frankfurt. You will love it!
We will meet at the indicated station to take a one-hour train to the city of Heidelberg.
Once we arrive, we will walk from the station to Bismarkplatz, the city's main square, where this tour of the beautiful cobblestone streets and half-timbered houses of the old town will begin.
We will walk among the churches and palaces of Heidelberg, and see its university, the oldest in Germany. Next we will go to the Carlos Teodoro Bridge to observe the oldest walkway in the city, the imposing Neckar River and the unique monkey statue. No wonder this place inspired poets like Friedrich Hölderlin!
We will end the guided tour at the bottom of Heidelberg Castle. You will have an hour and a half of free time to go up to the castle or have lunch on your own.
After free time we will meet again to go to Heidelberg train station.
